Weigela

A family of very colorful useful ornamental shrubs for temperate climates; the Weigelas enjoy fertile well drained soils in sun or part shade. These long lived shrubs also enjoy a good fertilize in early spring ( 10-10-10 basic fert. or tree&shrub food recommeneded ). Most species are pollution tolerant. Weigela are rarely bothered by insect pests or disease.
Reproduced from softwood or half hardened cuttings in summer or for the species - seed in autumn. Taking hardwood cuttings of 10 inches, taken from vigorous shoots during autumn may also work.
